take time for yourself this summer by signing up for the summer wellu wishlist!

a new mindfulness or self-care activity will be posted weekly for you to try (or not) on your own schedule. we will be using a google classroom so you can discuss and share with fellow thunderwolves. 

wolves on the move 100 hour challenge

the wolves are already moving but it is not too late to get in on the action. the healthy at home team is challenging you to log 100 hours of physical activity before september 5 if you don't think you have time to hit that you can hit milestones alone the way. you will receive virtual postcards when you hit 14, 27, 56, 65, 81. why those numbers? you’ll have to reach them to find out. at the end of summer, you’ll receive badges for all of your achievements! 

talk campus has arrived at lakehead!

we have launched a new mental health service called talkcampus. it’s a free to download app where you can talk with other 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 from around the world if you’re struggling and worried about your mental health. your student email address will give you free access, just download talkcampus from the app stores.

talkcampus is anonymous, it isn’t run by us and we won’t be able to see if you are using it, you also won’t be able to see where other 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 are from. talkcampus is based around peer support; you can use it if you need some help yourself or you can go on there and listen and support others.

the platform is safe and moderated and is designed as a place where you can just be yourself and talk about how you’re really feeling. student life can be tough and we know sometimes you might not want to talk to us about how you’re feeling. talkcampus isn’t a replacement for counselling or professional support however it is a great place to start talking and to make sure that however you’re feeling right now you’re not alone.

mindful eating focuses on in-the-moment awareness of the food and drink you put into your body. it involves observing how the food makes you feel and the signals your body sends about taste, satisfaction, and fullness.

no experience necessary – whether you are new to meditation or practice regularly, having the support of a group can help to strengthen your practice.

virtual meal prep bootcamp

brought to you by the healthy at home team- this will be a three-week live meal planning boot camp run by a registered dietitian. the sessions will be broken into three weeks focusing on topics such as meal planning, shopping and prepping.
each week will include a live assembly-style (think burrito bowls or buddha bowls) cooking demo for 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 to follow along with and q & a section with a dietitian at the end of each session.
sessions will be recorded and sent out to those registered after each session.

growl and howl series: the athlete experience

lakehead orillia athletics and georgian college, in partnership with the canadian mental health association, simcoe county branch is hosting a three-part webinar series to help support athlete mental health during the pandemic. join us to learn more about how you can support your mental health.

this panel discussion will feature current and former athletes who have lived experience with mental health or concussions.
