career services & co-op is pleased to announce an exciting career exploration activity coming up on february 8 in the alumni commons at the orillia campus. the event will feature hiring managers and leaders who work for municipalities close to campus. these guest employers will discuss their own career paths, and they will also answer questions from 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 about different types of roles that exist within regional and city government.
if you are wondering: "what exactly is a municipality, and what jobs do they offer?" or, "how and where can i find a good paying position that will help me stay in this area after i graduate?", i hope you will attend.

the calareo irme program is accepting applications for summer and fall 2024 research internships in latin america.
the calareo irme program, funded by the government of canada's global skills opportunity (gso) program, is now offering research internships for summer 2024 and fall 2024. nearly 100 internships are being offered in brazil, colombia, and mexico.
to be eligible for gso funding, lakehead 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 must be (1) a canadian citizen or permanent resident, and (2) be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program and be in good standing. 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 from underrepresented groups (indigenous 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 , low-income 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 , and 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 with disabilities) are encouraged to apply and will receive extra support. some internships may be eligible as a co-op placement.

阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 is pleased to provide an exciting opportunity for the italian language and cultural program offered by lakehead's partner in italy, the university for foreigners of siena. offered during the spring and summer semesters between may and august 2024, this four-week language program welcomes 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 from around the world to study italian and learn about italian culture. it offers a unique and highly enjoyable learning experience in the classroom, with its extracurricular activities and excursions to places of interest within the region.

safetalk is a 4-hour, in-person workshop to build skills in suicide prevention. participants will learn how to recognize and engage with someone thinking about suicide, overcome attitudes that act as barriers to help, talk openly about suicide and connect with intervention resources for further support.
through presentations, audiovisuals, small group discussion and scenario practice, you will learn a 4-step talk model and practical steps to help activate a suicide alert that connects people having thoughts of suicide with more specialized intervention care and relevant resources.
sexually transmitted infections (stis), like chlamydia and gonorrhea, can go unnoticed as they don't often cause symptoms so it is important to routinely get sti tests.
student health and wellness, in partnership with the sexual health team at simcoe muskoka district health unit, is hosting drop-in, confidential sti testing at the wellness centre (or 1012).
drop by for a test, get a free slice of pizza, and pick up sexual health supplies for future consensual activities.

this course is being offered by algoma university, with up to 10 spaces reserved for lakehead 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 . together with the course leaders and staff and 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 from algoma university, lakehead 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 will participate in pre-departure preparation, the 11-day field school in belize, and post-experience activities.

lakehead will sponsor up to 10 eligible domestic undergraduate 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 through the government of canada's global skills opportunity (gso) funding (the amount mayvary depending on eligibility). indigenous 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 will receive preference for funding. funding is expected to cover program fees (covering international flights, activities, in country transportation, and some meals), tuition fees at algoma university, and other administrative fees (total estimated costs to be approximately cad 4,500). all participants will be provided with comprehensive health and travel insurance.
belize is unique as the only english-speaking country in central america. it gained its independence from british honduras in 1981 and has since, steadily, defined its identity. the indigenous cultures present in belize include the yucatec, mopan, and q'eqchi' maya, and garifuna peoples. their languages as well as spanish are part of belize’s linguistic landscape. in this course 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 will visit several community leaders representing these indigenous communities, as well as several mayan architectural wonders to learn about their ethno-medicine, architecture, and astronomy. after completing this course 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 will: learn to identify and use various plant medicines from the jungle; be able to identify mathematics embedded in mayan architecture, and; build awareness of astronomical and scriptural features that define mayan cultures.
