the position requires a high level of customer service and engagement, which may require variable hours of work based on operational needs.

reporting to the associate registrar, the scheduling & examination coordinator is responsible for the day to day operation and long term range planning for the development and creation of each academic term’s course schedule and the general assignment of classrooms for all course offerings. this position is also responsible for day to day operations and long range planning for the development, creation of and administration of the university’s exam schedule and invigilation.

duties:

course scheduling & management:

- responsible for conflict free academic course schedules, initiates, tracks and monitors the entire scheduling process, reviews and analyzes scheduling information.

- serves as the main contact responsible for the initiation and completion of course scheduling.

- works in collaboration with academic time table representatives and the academic curriculum development coordinator.

- reviews and recommends changes as required working with internal stakeholders.

exam scheduling & management:

- responsible for the creation of conflict free exam schedules.

- initiatives, tracks and monitors the entire scheduling process for exams, analyzes exam data to determine specific requirements.  

- assesses instances of cheating and consults with academic instructors, chairs/directors, and deans.

- works closely with the student accessibility office to ensure 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 who require accommodations are accommodated.

- acts as the site supervisor for all external exams (lsat, sat, gre) 

exam invigilator supervision:

- acts as the chief exam invigilator.

- hires, trains and appoints all invigilators and schedules work. 

- creates and maintains an online invigilator training program, certifying every invigilator.

ad hoc room bookings:

- oversees all requests for ad hoc space at the thunder bay and orillia campuses.

- approve/deny ad hoc booking requests.

- provide monthly reports to other departments as needed.

qualifications:

- a bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 5 years of experience managing complex systems and project management or equivalent education and experience;

- proficiency with computers, various office programs including microsoft office and timetable software;

- attention to detail with logical problem solving skills;

- ability to work in a team setting or individually;

- excellent and professional written and verbal communication skills.
