please join dr. elaine power, associate professor in the school of kinesiology and health studies at queen's university in a two talks entitled, "the social construction of food insecurity in canada" and "building food security through a universal basic income guarantee".  

the social construction on food talk is taking place from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm at the thunder bay campus in atac 5036.  

the building food security talk is taking place from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, in thunder bay at the waverley public library located at 285 red river road.  

ms. kassandra fernandes, a master of public health candidate in the department of health sciences, will present her thesis proposal, "exploring older adult male participation in a free, biweekly, group-based, indoor walking initiative".

dr. rebecca schiff, assistant professor, department of health sciences has applied for adjunct status with the department of psychology and will be presenting a talk entitled homelessness, mental health, and additctions:  what do we know and where are we going?

jessica's thesis committee members are dr. vicki kristman, supervisor; dr. helle møller, dr. wayne warry, and mr. john hogenbirk.
