digital storytelling workshop
if you enjoy telling stories or enabling others to tell their stories, if preserving oral history is important to you, please join our facilitator from storycentre canada to learn how to tell stories and gather oral history in a digital video format.
this 3-day workshop will be a first for thunder bay. the event is sponsored by the northwestern ontario archivists association, and will be hosted at the chancellor paterson library.
there are a limited number of places for the session taking place on july 12, 13 and 14.
this workshop includes:
* introduction to the seven steps of digital storytelling
* group sharing and feedback in a facilitated story circle
* script writing and voice recording * image preparation and storyboarding
* video editing and production: transitions, effects, music, and titles
* production of a 2-4 minute digital story
* group screening
who should attend: this workshop is for everyone and anyone: young and old; tech savvy and not. whether you feel a creative itch to experiment, a desire to more deeply explore an important life story, or the need to represent a story of your organization or community, our experienced and professional staff will make you feel at home, and completely supported.
