the purpose of my research is to understand human behaviour and psychological processes within linked social and ecological systems.  theories and concepts in complexity science, including nonlinear dynamical systems theory and complex adaptive systems theory, inform much of my work. research topics have included environmental behaviour, values and worldview, food security, food behaviour, and food systems, self and identity processes, systems thinking, meaning making, well-being, and resilience. i have done some research in the past on acculturation and cultural identity and remain interested in cognitive and psychological processes relating to culture.
