dr. mcqueen has extensive teaching experience in the areas of maternal-infant health, quantitative research methods and systematic reviews.
dr. mcqueen's research interests include: 1) breastfeeding promotion and interventions to improve breastfeeding outcomes, 2) breastfeeding as an intervention for infants with neonatal abstinence syndrome (nas), 3) the early identification and treatment of women with postpartum depression, 4) unfounded sexual assault, and 5) the preceptorship model for clinical education in nursing. dr. mcqueen has several peer-reviewed publications in the area of breastfeeding interventions, breastfeeding self-efficacy, postpartum depression, neonatal abstinence syndrome and breastfeeding and sexual assault. additionally, dr. mcqueen has been a panel member in the development of rnao best practice guidelines.
