kang kang’s research focuses heavily on developing economically efficient and environmentally friendly biomass conversion technologies and biomass-based catalytic materials that could be used to promote sustainability.

- development of biomass-based catalytic materials for energy and environmental applications
- catalytic thermochemical conversion of solid wastes
