dr. a. ernest epp specialized in teaching canadian and environmental history. he continues research and community advisement in these areas.
research interests:
dr. epp's current research focuses on the development of social policy in canada, and he is writing a book on how this development has changed the canadian federal system of government. his publications include the edited collections from rivalry to unity: a history of thunder bay (thunder bay historical museum society, 1995; 2008) and the north american fur trade: pivotal interpretations (canadian scholars press, 1995).
dr. epp served as member of parliament for thunder bay-nipigon between 1984 and 1988.
