student health and wellness is excited to welcome all our new and returning thunderwolves back to campus!

transitioning back to student life can be hard, but we are here to support you. for the first six weeks of the term, join us for wellu wednesdays, where we'll offer different health promotional trainings and activities each week. for schedule and details, visit the student health and wellness webpage.

the office of sustainability is looking for 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 from thunder bay (two graduate, one undergraduate) and 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 from orillia (one graduate, one undergraduate) to act as a representative to the 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 sustainability stewardship council (lussc). the term is for the 2022/2023 academic year and the lussc meets quarterly. terms are renewable.

this notice serves as an open call for interest from all 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 to fulfill the role as a student representative to the lussc for the 2022/2023 fall, winter, and spring/summer terms. self-nominations are welcome.

please email your interest to serve by including a maximum 250 word statement describing your interest in sustainability and participation on the lussc to devon lee, sustainability coordinator, at dlee2@lakeheadu.ca by tuesday, sept. 27.

details: sustainability is a diverse, global movement in society, economics, environment, and in higher education. at 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 , sustainability is considered in a pluralistic and inclusive way, encompassing human and ecological health, social justice and equity, indigenous rights, secure livelihoods, workplace well-being, and leadership for vibrant and resilient communities. 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 aspires to make sustainability a shared priority in all sectors of university life.

the lussc provides a forum for 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 , faculty, administration, and community members to create 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 ’s unique sustainability profile by examining key sustainability issues and implementing the 2019-2024 sustainability plan impacting all sectors of the university at its thunder bay and orillia campuses.

wellu wednesday: stop the stigma day

stop by outside of simcoe hall and take part in the launch of student health and wellness' stop the stigma campaign! take time to check in with your mental health, share words of wisdom with your fellow thunderwolves, grab some swag and snacks and play some yard games.

rescheduled:wellu wednesday: naloxone training

student health and wellness have partnered with the simcoe muskoka district health unit to offer naloxone training to lakehead 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 . participants will learn about the symptoms of opioid overdose and when and how to use naloxone.

there is no cost for the training but registration is required and spaces are limited. each participant will receive a naloxone kit.

this training will be offered in simcoe hall, oa 2017. registration is required and spaces are limited. this event was rescheduled from october 5.

join student health and wellness for a free yoga session on the thunderwolves ice field outdoor platform with rosanna shillolo. no registration but attendees are encouraged to bring your own mat and props if possible (some may be available but not guaranteed).

this event is outdoors and therefore is weather dependant.
