it's your move 5x5 challenge

if getting back into school mode has messed up your fitness routine- or it was never much of a routine to begin with- get moving with the 5x5 challenge. challenge yourself to log 5 workouts of at least 30 minutes for 5 weeks starting on september 27.

we will be providing updates, encouragement and resources to help you with your challenge and you can connect and cheer on your fellow thunderwolves on our strava group (it's also how to keep track of your progress!).

refresh sleep program

the refresh sleep program aims to provide lakehead 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 , staff and faculty with the skills and strategies to achieve more restful nights.

when you join the refresh sleep program, you will receive a weekly email for eight weeks that has an attached pdf with important information and tips that have been proven to help improve sleep. it is encouraged to spend at least thirty minutes per week with the program information. the materials include information about:

yoga for all

yoga is back! 

join instructor ameena by the lake for some sun salutations every tuesday and thursday in august. no yoga experience is required. open to all members of the lakehead community! please bring your own mat, water bottle and props. 

classes will be cancelled in adverse weather.

registration is required and attendees must complete the covid screen on the lakehead mobile safety app.

summer wellu wishlist

take time for yourself this summer by signing up for the summer wellu wishlist!

a new mindfulness or self-care activity will be posted weekly for you to try (or not) on your own schedule. we will be using a google classroom so you can discuss and share with fellow thunderwolves.

mindful eating meditation

celebrate nutrition month by joining student health and wellness for a live, counsellor-led mindful eating meditation session via zoom. bring your lunch or a snack.

mindful eating focuses on in-the-moment awareness of the food and drink you put into your body. it involves observing how the food makes you feel and the signals your body sends about taste, satisfaction, and fullness.

no experience necessary – whether you are new to meditation or practice regularly, having the support of a group can help to strengthen your practice.
