peer chat

being a student is hard but it can feel like you are the only one who is stressed out or struggling. peer chat is a virtual way to connect with other 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 to talk through the different academic and social experiences you have while being a student. the session provides you with the opportunity to gain insight into different student experiences as well as share your own unique skills to help support your peers.

no registration is required, drop into the zoom session anytime during the hour.

mindful meditation

join student health and wellness for live, counsellor-led mindful meditation sessions every thursday in january over zoom. each session begins with a check-in, then a mindfulness practice is introduced and guided, followed by an opportunity to discuss any questions or insights.

no experience necessary – whether you are new to mindfulness or practice regularly, having the support of a group can help to strengthen your practice.

making mindfulness a habit

join student health and wellness yoga instructor, ameena, for a 4-week yoga and mindfulness series. every sunday, from 11 am -12 pm est, we will have discussions about goal-setting, we will do breathing exercises, journaling and finally, a brief 30-minute yoga practice. each week you’ll be given mindful homework assignments in order to create new habits.

you’ll need:
✅ yoga mat
✅ journal

registration is required- participants will be emailed more details close prior to the first class.

bell let's talk day

bell let’s talk day is wednesday, january 26

this marks lakehead's 5th year participating in bell let’s talk day. the day provides a timely opportunity to build on increased awareness around mental health and mental illness and to inspire canadians to keep playing an active role in moving mental health forward in canada as a priority issue. for the 2022 campaign, we are encouraging the lakehead community to keep listening, talking and being there for themselves and each other.

ever wonder who provides student services at lakehead? looking to meet fellow 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 ? drop into thunderwolf speed dating to meet staff and 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 from both campuses. you'll be randomly matched and chat for 2 minutes with mini-games and ice breaker questions to get the ball rolling, then onto the next match!

it's your move feeling '22 challenge

kick-off the new year with a new challenge from the it's your move crew! whether you are looking to start a new routine or just get back in the habit post-winter break, a little competition is a great motivator.
starting on january 17 and ending on february 20, we are challenging you to complete 22 workouts in 35 days. we will be tracking your progress and sharing information via the it's your move strava group- you will receive an email on how to join the group before the start date.

refresh sleep

the refresh sleep program aims to provide lakehead 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 , staff and faculty with the skills and strategies to achieve more restful nights.

when you join the refresh sleep program, you will receive a weekly email for eight weeks that has an attached pdf with important information and tips that have been proven to help improve sleep. it is encouraged to spend at least thirty minutes per week with the program information. the materials include information about:
