's dr. david greenwood has been renewed as the canada research chair in environmental education.
"history shows that concern for the environment is not a passing fad, but a steadily growing movement of diverse people and groups worldwide," dr. greenwood said.
"my current research seeks to examine the relationship between environmental and social justice movements from the mid-19th century to the present," he said.
"by better understanding how these movements converge and diverge, we can better express a holistic vision for social, ecological, and economic justice in education at all levels including here at 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜
."
dr. greenwood, a professor in the faculty of education, said he will continue building local and international networks that help deepen and expand the field of place-based, environmental and sustainability education.
"congratulations to dr. greenwood on his renewal," said dr. andrew dean, lakehead's vice-president, research and innovation.
"environmental education is an important and relevant topic. the research that dr. greenwood has already done in this area and his proposed five-year plan significantly adds to this subject," dr. dean said.
dr. greenwood's chair is funded by the social sciences and humanities research council.
