the genomic applications partnership program (gapp)

how to apply: 

the gapp promotes the application of genomics-derived solutions to address key challenges or opportunities facing users from industry, government, not-for-pro ts, and other organizations.

this user-pull program funds downstream r&d projects that aim to commercialize or translate these genomics-derived solutions to real world applications.

successful projects will have a strong partnership between users and academia and can demonstrate that the outcomes of the work will have strong socio-economic bene t to canada.

objective of this program

sdpp-d supports projects intended to improve the participation and integration of people with disabilities in all aspects of canadian society. more specifically, the program supports not-for-profit organizations across canada in tackling barriers faced by people with disabilities with respect to social inclusion.

the community development and homelessness partnerships directorate (cdhpd) at the department of employment and social development canada (esdc) invites applicants to submit proposals for small scale projects or prototypes that develop effective and innovative practices, tools, or initiatives that prevent or reduce homelessness in canada. 

successful applicants will receive funding to create and/or evaluate concrete and potentially groundbreaking practices, tools, or initiatives that individuals, organizations, or communities can use to improve client outcomes.

the advancingeducation program helps connect ontario’s public education system with companies to test early-market interest and demonstrate innovative products and technologies in an education setting. this includes english and french k-12 schools as well as post-secondary institutions.

designed to bolster innovation in ontario’s public education system through partnerships between schools and companies, the program invests in collaborative innovation procurement projects to demonstrate new technologies in a public sector setting as a means of building a strong case for adoption and system-wide scaling. 

oce is accepting applications for round 2 from september 28, 2016 to january 23, 2017. the theme for round 2 is:

future-proof learning – seeking demonstration of innovative technologies that engage all 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 in the development of global competencies, including:

  • steam- and ice-related skills
  • critical thinking and problem solving
  • collaboration and communication
  • self-direction and well-being

the overall objectives of the advancingeducation program are to:

operating grant : phsi for cancer control

how to apply: 

 

the purpose of this funding opportunity is to support teams of researchers and decision makers interested in conducting applied health services and policy research that will be useful to health system managers and/or decision makers in cancer control.

the focus must be on interventional studies with control groups that partner with a decision maker organization.

the specific objectives of this funding opportunity are to:

  • develop and test optimal models to improve cancer care at the population level across the cancer control continuum, from prevention to survivorship and end-of-life care.
  • determine public and patient preferences and perceptions of value to inform policy decision making about cancer care services. 
  • develop methods to measure quality of care at the population level including comparisons to stratified populations (i.e. vulnerable, high-risk populations).

it is important that a rubric of sustainability overlie the projects, and that post study continuation for successful interventions is addressed.

the cihr institute of cancer will provide funding for applications that are determined to be relevant to the following research areas:

  • disease management across the cancer control continuum (from prevention to palliation)
  • development of mechanisms for timely adoption and implementation of research findings.
