social sciences grant
the purpose of the social sciences grant is to provide funding to support the examination of new approaches to research critical to the transformation of arrhythmia care practices in canada.
the objectives are to:
- build knowledge, understanding and capacity within interdisciplinary and/or cross-sector research teams
- mobilize research knowledge around critical social, cultural and technological issues related to the promotion of an accessible and sustainable health care system for arrhythmia health
- deepen understandings that inform solutions employed in the transformation of arrhythmia care practices in canada
social sciences projects must be focused on research that is aligned with canet’s strategic plan and have the potential to integrate into larger canet programs/ projects. all proposals must provide detailed planning and sound budget justification. they must also clearly spell out the underlying assumptions, intended approaches, milestones and deliverables.
up to $150,000 can be requested (over a maximum of 2 years) for projects in areas aligned with canet’s strategic priorities. matching funds are not required but recommended.
