phd/post doctoral fellowships (1 or 2 fellowships of 1 or 2 years duration)
the phd/post doctoral fellowship will be awarded to either an applicant working toward a phd or to a post doctoral research candidate, with a background in any of the relevant disciplines (including medicine and nursing). while applicants may have training and/or experience in areas not directly related to pogo activities, they will be required to demonstrate relevance to pediatric oncology.

this award includes:

• $45,000 yearly salary
• ability to apply for $5,000 in project-specific one-time operating support.

clinician scholar award (1 fellowship of 1 or 2 years duration)
the clinician scholar award is open to licensed clinicians and health practitioners of any discipline working in the field of pediatric oncology. applicants may have limited research experience although they have a strong interest in research.  

the award includes:

• $55,000 yearly salary
• ability to apply for $5,000 in project-specific one-time operating support.

the intent of the bcrp breakthrough award is to support promising research that has the potential to lead to or make breakthroughs in breast cancer. the critical components of this award mechanism are:

impact: research supported by the breakthrough award will have the potential for a major impact and accelerate progress toward ending breast cancer. the impact may be near-term or long-term, but must be significant and move beyond an incremental advancement. applications must articulate the pathway to making an impact for breast cancer patients, even if clinical impact is not an immediate outcome. 

research scope: research proposed under this award mechanism may be at different stages of idea and research development. two different funding levels, based on the scope of the research, are available for this solicitation of the breakthrough award. it is the responsibility of the principal investigator (pi) to select the funding level that is most appropriate for the research proposed.

in partnership with the united kingdom’s department for international development and the william and flora hewlett foundation, the international development research centre is pleased to launch a call for research proposals on growth and economic opportunities for women (grow) – generating evidence on women’s economic empowerment, gender equality and growth in low-income countries.

the ministry of training, colleges and universities (mtcu) is pleased to announce the 2013-14 call for proposals for the ontario human capital research and innovation fund (ohcrif).
the purpose of ohcrif is to support research and innovation projects that identify better ways to help people prepare for, return to or keep employment and become productive participants in the labour force. ohcrif is funded through the canada-ontario labour market development agreement and is being used to advance knowledge and evidence to support policy and program development.
this is an open call for proposals that will provide funding for faculty and non-faculty researchers at postsecondary institutions, graduate 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 , and researchers affiliated with public and non-profit organizations or research firms, to undertake research on postsecondary education, labour market, and employment and training policy.
for 2013-14, ohcrif welcomes applications for research and analysis projects in the following three thematic areas:

·         preparing for and participating in the labour market

·         increasing participation in postsecondary education and training

·         outcomes and returns to postsecondary education and training
ohcrif will be used to support short-term projects that can be completed between october 2013 and march 2014. ohcrif will be used to fund both review projects (i.e. literature reviews and environmental scans) and original research projects. the application deadline is september 30, 2013 at 12 pm.

the canadian hemophilia society (chs) is proud to put out its call for applications for its research and fellowship programs for the 2014-2015 grant period. the deadline to submit applications for all the programs is november 15, 2013.we are pleased to announce the addition of a new psychosocial research program thanks to our partnership with novo nordisk canada. the eligibility, criteria and conditions for all our research programs have been revised and updated. of note, eligibility has been expanded as follows:

Ø  dream of a cure: the program is no longer limited to hemophilia a & b-related projects so that projects focusing on von willebrand disease, rare factor deficiencies, platelet function disorders (and platelet pathophysiology) and other congenital and acquired bleeding disorders can be supported;

Ø  dream of a cure 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 hips in inherited bleeding disorders research: similarly to our basic scientific research program, the 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 hips are no longer limited to haemophilia-related projects but include all inherited bleeding disorders. furthermore, science 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 in any year of an undergraduate program can apply in addition to medical 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 in any year of training;

Ø  chs/ahcdc/csl behring hemostasis fellowship program:  in addition to post-md clinical trainees or postdoctoral fellows (post-phd) enrolled in postgraduate training in hematology or other relevant fields, applications from candidates from allied health professions undertaking post-graduate studies will also be considered;

Ø  chs/pfizer care until cure research program: the areas of interest to which investigators are encouraged to submit proposals has been expanded and all projects included but not limited to the list will be considered.

Ø  chs/baxter inherited bleeding disorder fellowship program for nurses and allied health care professionals: applications from hemophilia program professionals/graduate 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 from the disciplines of nursing, physiotherapy, social work and other related allied health disciplines will be considered.

Ø  chs/novo nordisk psychosocial research programme: applications from social workers, nurses, or physiotherapists with professional experience in a hemophilia treatment centre as well as 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 in a phd program in one of the allied health disciplines will be considered.
