this ship time program is aimed at all nserc-funded researchers who intend to use a vessel for their discovery grant-supported research in the coming years. it applies to: the department of fisheries and oceans (dfo) vessels, undersea vehicles operated by the  canadian scientific submersible facility or other similar research platforms, and any other canadian or foreign vessels crewed in conformance with the  canada shipping act 2001.

ship time grants support ongoing discovery grant research programs. these grants recognize the high costs associated with chartering research vessels in canada and abroad. applicants must hold a discovery grant to be eligible to receive a ship time grant. recipients of ship time grants must use the funds as described in the application. requests to use an alternate vessel will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

ship time applicants may apply for more than one vessel at a time. should the two vessels be part of the same project (e.g., a remotely operated vehicle and a support vessel), only one application is to be submitted.

rti grants are one-year awards of up to $150,000 that assist in the purchase or fabrication of research equipment with a net cost between $7,001 and $250,000 (before taxes, customs and importation fees, transportation and shipping charges, assembly and installation costs). the research community is also encouraged to explore other avenues for funding research tools and instruments, including nserc's other programs that include the purchase of equipment as eligible expenses, such as discovery grants.

the science for peace and security (sps) programme promotes dialogue and practical cooperation between nato member states and partner nations based on scientific research, technological innovation and knowledge exchange. the sps programme offers funding, expert advice and support to tailor-made, security-relevant activities that respond to nato’s strategic objectives.

the canadian glycomics network (glyconet) is a network of centres of excellence that focuses on the role of glycans (carbohydrates) in health. areas of focus for glyconet in cycle ii (2020–2025) are antimicrobials, chronic diseases (including diabetes & obesity), neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer. additional information about network research can be found at www.glyconet.ca.
a key goal of glyconet is to support research projects that are multi-disciplinary, as defined by the nce program. accordingly, this request for proposals seeks to fund projects that involve two or more research groups in different disciplines. proposals that involve an investigator who is primarily funded on by one of the tri-council agencies (e.g., cihr) working with others primarily funded by one or both of the other tri-council agencies (e.g., nserc and/or sshrc) will be viewed most favourably.

nserc's promoscience program offers financial support for organizations working with young canadians to promote an understanding of science and engineering (including mathematics and technology). organizations may request funds for up to three years at a time.

promoscience supports hands-on learning experiences for young 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 and their science teachers. grants may be used to cover improvements to program content or delivery, as well as for new programs and activities. grants can also be used to cover operational costs such as salaries, travel, postage, materials and supplies, provided that they relate to the promotion of science and engineering. note that grants may not be used to support research. details on the eligibility of expenses are contained in the use of grant funds section of the promoscience grants guide. the information in this guide may change without notice.

greo is committed to using the best available evidence to prevent and reduce gambling harm. in ontario, there are well-established treatment plans and strategies that exist to meet the needs of problem gamblers seeking treatment. given that the majority of gambling harms in the population stem from low- and moderate- risk gambling behaviour, health promotion and prevention strategies are needed to focus on reducing gambling harm from a systems-level perspective.

to effectively reduce harm across the spectrum, interventions that aim to improve population health outcomes through prevention, harm reduction, health promotion, and by protecting vulnerable or at-risk groups need to be developed. such interventions at the system-level have the potential to reduce a greater proportion of gambling-related harms within the population, because they consider the physical, social, cultural, and environmental factors that influence the distribution of these harms.

when it comes to addressing the negative consequences from health concerns that frequently co-occur with gambling harms, community health organizations often play a key role, and use many of the strategies described above to address these issues at the systems-level. public health service professionals have the skills, experience, and capacity to adopt a more population-focused approach to gambling harm.

our bet: community initiatives stream provides grants to community organizations looking to complete a knowledge translation project focused on mental health, addictions, and/or community wellbeing. depending on the nature of the proposed project, applicants to this bet stream can apply for a $15k or $40k grant.
