the objective of the new investigator salary award program is to provide outstanding new investigators with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their independence in initiating and conducting health research through provision of a contribution to their salary.
training grant : randomized controlled trials: mentoring (2014-2015)
the objective of this funding opportunity is to develop future leaders in trials research who can direct the conception, design and implementation of randomized controlled trials. the goals will be realized by a mentoring program in which investigators will learn how to initiate and conduct high quality randomized controlled trials (rcts) from experienced mentors in highly active trial centres. the immediate aim of this mentoring program is to enable the mentee to independently develop and submit to cihr a randomized controlled trials operating grant application at the end of the mentoring program.

catalyst grant : hiv/aids community-based research (2014-2015)
the specific objectives of this funding opportunity are to:
- support partnerships between the community and researchers to facilitate the conduct of community-based research; and/or
- develop future applications for more comprehensive community-based research grants.
examples of activities that might be conducted under this funding opportunity (but are not restricted to) are:
- facilitation of dialogue between communities and researchers in order to establish research partnerships;
- workshops to design a research project and/or develop a proposal for a future cbr operating grant;
- planning and execution of pilot projects or feasibility studies to generate preliminary data, proof of concept; and/or
development and / or validation of new inventions, tools, methodologies, protocols, theoretical models or frameworks

partnership development grants
partnership development grants provide support over one to three years to teams/partnerships, led by a project director, to:
- develop research and related activities in the social sciences and humanities, including knowledge mobilization and the meaningful involvement of 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 and new scholars, by fostering new partnerships for research and related activities involving existing and/or potential partners; or
- design and test new partnership approaches for research and/or related activities that may result in best practices or models that either can be adapted by others or have the potential to be scaled up to a regional, national or international level.
