about the session

this workshop provides participants with the toolkit to communicate effectively in any situation.  reflecting current industry best practices, it explores the challenges of communicating in environments where cues and customs vary widely; the relationship between speaking and listening; the importance of tone and body language; and communicating to various audiences as a subject matter expert.

cihr project scheme information session

阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 researchers planning on submitting an application to the cihr project scheme next march are invited to an information session to be held january 12, 2016 from 10:00am to 12:00pm in atac 3004 (video conference in oa 3041 in orillia).  the session will be hosted by drs. vicki kristman & karen mcqueen 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 cihr delegates.  topics will include important changes between the old open operating grant application and the new application format.

阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 faculty members are invited to a senate research committee (src) grantwriting workshop to be led by dr. batia stolar, acting chair, senate research committee.  the src workshop will provide an overview of internal funding opportunities available through the senate research committee.  dr. stolar will also provide researchers with helpful grantwriting tips and suggestions for writing a successful internal grant application.

the workshop will take place on our orillia campus but will also be videoconferenced to the 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 campus.

please note that there will be a sshrc insight grant information session on september 10, 2015 in at3004 from 10-11:30.  the session will be presented by office of research services staff along with dr. tamara varney, a 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 faculty member with grant selection committee experience.  the session will provide an overview of the sshrc insight grant program along with insights about the grant review process.
