congratulations to elizabeth stafford

congratulations to elizabeth in her new role as lu's acting vice-provost institutional planning and analysis, which she holds until december 2015, as well as her work as treasurer on board of directors for the national canadian research institute for the advancement of women!
 
elizabeth developed close ties with women's studies as a master's student in business. her project was co-supervised by women's studies' dr. helen smith (d. 2012), and elizabeth played a key role in the our master's class.

women's studies welcomes dr. jennifer chisholm

jen is a recent phd graduate and an enthusiastic teacher. she is newly appointed in the department and is looking forward to getting to know the community and exploring beautiful thunder bay. jen’s research lies in the role technology plays in women’s reproductive experiences. she is deeply passionate about creating and engaging supportive networks for women around their reproductive choices. jen is looking forward to teaching ws1100 introduction to women’s studies, and ws2113 women, popular culture and counter-culture during the fall 2015 semester.

the department of women's studies is pleased to welcome jan oakley and holly morgan to our contract teaching team this year! jan has been involved with our department and the faculty of education for many years, and is currently the international initiatives coordinator for education. although holly is a new instructor to the department, she did her women's studies ma specialization with us, and is currently finishing her phd from westfälische wilhelms-universität, germany, where she received a research fellowship. welcome jan and holly!!
