recent alumna emily smyk (class of ‘13) was featured in the lakehead university 2015 annual report. her story highlights her love of field work and the opportunities she has had to see geology around the world. emily recently completed her msc thesis on “a comparison of the hydrothermal alteration systems around the mo-hosting white pine intrusion, utah, and the buckingham porphyry, nevada” and is currently exploring new opportunities in australia.
