the biology department on the thunder bay campus continuously monitors course enrolment and graduate student numbers.  in general, tas are not used for biology courses on the orillia or barrie campuses;  however, we have new postings for or 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 !

once graduate 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 have been assigned their ta positions (june and july), any remaining positions can be filled by undergraduate 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 , pending budget approvals.

please note that all new biology tas are required to attend the in-person ta training session on friday, tbd.   

a zoom recording is available for applicants hired for winter 2025.

• if you are an undergraduate student with a class, another time can be arranged. 
• for graduate 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 , this training is part of biol5010fa.  

only successful applicants will be notified.

all new hires must also complete the required lu employee orientation session through human resources.

application process

applications must complete this google form.  

you will be asked to answer the following questions:

• your current program (undergraduate or graduate).
• are you a returning ta?
• your current program level (as defined by 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 )
• a list of courses and/or lab sections you wish to ta.  be specific for sections and ensure they fit into your current timetable.

you will be asked to attach the following documents.   please name your files with the bold terms listed.  do not include your name in the file, the google form will attach your name to the files for us.  alternatively, you could combine all your files into a single pdf for upload.

• a cover letter:

  • outline the courses you are interested in,

  • list additional courses you may be interested in,

  • specify lab sections that fit your timetable (tbay timetable)

  • teaching experiences,

  • relevant course, lab and/or fieldwork, 

  • whether you have taken the course(s) chosen or similar (e.g. another institution), and 

  • other relevant information. 

• your current resume or cv.

• your unofficial transcript (print from myinfo).

• your timetable for each semester.   most tas are not required to attend the lectures for their course (some exceptions apply).

only complete and electronic submissions via the google form will be accepted.   

if you are currently a fall ta and decide later on a winter course, edit your file and/or notify micheal moore sometime in november as a new application is likely not required.

successful fall applicants will be notified in late august.

successful winter applicants will be notified sometime during the fall term.

the department will keep your application on file if we require additional tas throughout the semester due to unforeseen circumstances.
