research expertise: experimental condensed matter physics
our current research is focussed on the on-surface synthesis and characterization of novel molecular based nanomaterials.
the primary experimental technique we employ in our group is scanning tunneling microcscopy (stm).
ongoing projects include:
- growth of topological polymers on metal surfaces, and
- the formation of 2-d nanostructures on passivated silicon surfaces.
