what is virtual reality?
virtual reality (vr) allows a person to become immersed in a computer generated 3-dimensional environment. the simulated environments often allow the user to interact with the environment (objects, characters, etc.).
the equipment available to experience virtual reality in the makerspace@paterson consists of the following:
- oculus rift vr system - headset with headphones, two touch controllers and two room sensors to create your virtual environment.
- laptop computer with high-speed processor and high-end graphics card.
what applications are available for the oculus rift?
