virtual reality is the term used to describe a three-dimensional, computer generated environment which can be explored and interacted with by a person. that person becomes part of this virtual world or is immersed within this environment and whilst there, is able to manipulate objects or perform a series of actions. what is expeditions?
google expeditions is a virtual-reality teaching tool. you can swim with sharks, visit outer space, walk through a museum, and more without leaving the classroom. there are over 400 expeditions available and more in development.
what you will need to begin a google expeditions session:
1) electronic device (smartphone, ipad)
2) the google arts & culture app to run the virtual reality experience
3) viewer (check viewers available @ education library box above for available viewers)
