to find books on a specific topic, try doing a subject search

how do you do that?

1. go to the online catalogue and choose subject heading from the drop-down menu
2. type in your search term-  for example - world war 1914-1918 and then click on the search button
3. note the different subjects related to world war one.

sometimes, the subject heading doesn't match your search term so below are some tips for searching popular subjects:

• french revolution - use france history revolution, 1789-1799.
• industrial revolution - use great britain economic conditions 1760-1860

use omni to place all requests for interlibrary loan materials. search for your item in omni (make sure you are signed in to place the request), and click on the "get it from another library" link.
