dc.description.abstract | this thesis deals primarily with solving systems of autonomous ordinary nonlinear differential equations arising in celestial mechanics initial value problems using various finite-difference techniques. those methods investigated are the classical runge-kutta, gill’s modification to the classical runge-kutta, runge-kutta-nystrom, rational extrapolation a la bulirsch and stoer, and taylor’s series. | |
