dr. yellowhorn is an archaeologist who chairs the first nations studies department at simon fraser university. he grew up on the pikani first nation in alberta, and has a long term interest in northern plains culture and history. his current research focuses on the development of indigenous archaeology- the integration of traditional knowledge and archaeology.
