​calling all artists & researchers!  

join us as we celebrate 20 years of research & innovation at 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 during r&i week!  

aligned with this year's research and innovation week theme "celebrating 20 years of research & innovation week at 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 : reflect. research. innovate", 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 faculty, 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 , staff, and local community members are invited to submit to our on-site juried exhibit. non-local folks are welcome to submit to our juried virtual gallery. 

the galleries heartily invite works that reflect. research. innovate. in any scholarly field.

our theme is a rallying call and celebration of the profound benefits of research on people’s lives. it signifies the pursuit of knowledge and understanding that research propels society forward. the theme invites us to delve into the wonders that unfold when curiosity leads the way. through research, we ignite innovation, catalyze positive change, and envision a brighter future filled with endless possibilities. research opens new potentials, solves complex challenges, and imagines a better world.

we will review local submissions that can be hung (on hanging wires). high-quality photography or framed printings can showcase 3d media or poetry submissions. we can also showcase digital submissions through four large exhibition screens (looping video or slides). please note that the onsite video monitors are visual only (no sound). artworks are on exhibit for one year and photos and videos of accepted works will also remain on the lair website exhibit archive. 

this year, there will be two on-campus launch events during 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 ’s 20th research and innovation week (february 24 - 28) in thunder bay. 

tuesday, february 25, 2025 - 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm 
space gallery walking tour exhibit (cases building)
select artists will be invited to present their works

february 26, 2025 - 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm 
lair gallery opening (bora laskin building) 
northwestern climate gathering artist residencies’ showcase

submissions:
the submission process requires title, year, media, dimensions, a 50-word bio, and a 50-word artist statement including a link to further information about your project if available. please use the submission portal.

timeline and processes: 
key deadlines indicated. please ensure the artwork can be delivered during the drop-off window.  

january 20: midnight est, the submission portal will close. upon receipt of your proposal, if your proposal is suitable, you will be invited to submit your art files. 
january 24: all invited art images in gallery-ready jpeg format are received. please ensure your images are carefully cropped and are clear enough for large digital displays. the submission images, if accepted, will be the images used on the website. 
january 27-31: artwork formatted for jurors
february 3-7: artwork is adjudicated
february 10: notification of acceptance
february 14, 10 am - 2 pm: art drop-off at the cases building, research office. climate artists will drop off their works at the bora laskin building at the same time. if you cannot drop the work off yourself, please make arrangements for someone to drop the work off for you. 
february 18: art hanging
