what happens when i report?
when you report an incident of discrimination or sexual and gender-based violence, here is what will happen:
- a member of the ohre team will contact you within two (2) business days to coordinate a private and confidential meeting with you.
- at that meeting, you will be provided information about the following options:
- whether you want to access accommodations or on or off-campus support services
- whether you want to pursue an informal resolution or formal resolution process
important note:
- you can access accommodations and on or off-campus support services without pursuing an informal resolution or formal resolution process.
- you are in control of the process. you can choose to pursue an informal resolution or formal resolution process or not pursue either one.
what will not happen when i report?
when you report an incident of discrimination or sexual and gender-based violence, here is what will not happen:
- we will not contact the person(s) who your allegations of discrimination or sexual and gender-based violence are against without your consent, unless you choose to pursue an informal resolution or formal resolution process.
- we will not contact any other faculty or department of the university without your consent.
- we will not start a process, informal or formal, without your consent.
