at lakehead, we recognize the importance of fostering a culture of inclusivity, respect, and support for all members of our diverse community.
pride month serves as a poignant reminder of the progress made towards equality and justice for 2slgbtqqia+ individuals, while also highlighting the ongoing work needed to create a more inclusive society. it is a time to celebrate love, acceptance, and the right of every individual to live authentically, without fear of discrimination or prejudice.
as a university committed to diversity and inclusion, we encourage all members of our community to actively participate in pride month celebrations.

- show pride in your space:
- decorate your workspace or office to demonstrate your support of our 2slgbtqqia+ community members at lakehead
- use our pride zoom backgrounds
- download and print positive space posters for your space
- commit to practices that affirm 2slgbtqqia+ community members:
- speak up when you see discrimination, insensitivity and/or gaps in knowledge or action. use the mobile safety app to report discrimination on campus.
- practice and use gender-neutral language
- add pronouns to your email signature
