offered as a web-based course. please note that the successful candidate must possess the ability to teach using an online learning platform, although assistance will be made available via the office of continuing education & distributed learning.
course description:
the case study approach will be used to explore the concepts of holistic care of persons with dementia. principles, theories and knowledge of dementia and dementia care acquired will be integrated into these cases.
preferred qualifications:
post graduate degree in a discipline related to gerontology;
familiarity with basic concepts, issues and current trends in dementia care;
ability to teach gerontology from an interdisciplinary perspective;
experience with interacting with older adults;
the ability to perform various duties of the position, and applicable prior experience;
preference will be given to candidates with successful experience using distance education modes of delivery (particularly online course delivery); and
knowledge and interest in promoting interprofessional knowledge, skills, and attitudes.

primarily an 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. shift, monday to friday
when required, hours of work may be modified to address the needs of the university
duties:
receives and unloads incoming goods, assisting the receiver/shipper lead hand in recording relevant goods information and maintaining records;
enters appropriate information into the computer database;
loads trucks in preparation for delivery;
unloads trucks subsequent to pickup of goods;
moves goods, by truck, between university buildings and between the university and off‑campus locations;
moves goods within buildings by hand, cart and/or dolly to/from pickup/drop-off points;
packs, labels and loads goods being shipped by the university and assists the receiver/shipper lead hand in completing/maintaining shipping records, including transportation of dangerous goods documentation;
operates and maintains appropriate machinery, e.g. truck and forklift;
works in compliance with the occupational health & safety act, whmis regulation, other health and safety related legislation and standards and with such workplace practices as outlined by his/her immediate supervisor;
performs other related duties as assigned.
qualifications:
minimum grade 12 education;
experience in shipping and receiving practices;
must have current whmis training, transportation of dangerous goods certification, defensive driving certification as well as forklift certification or must be certified during trial period;
must have a current valid driver's licence of the appropriate class with a clean driving abstract;
ability to follow oral and written instructions;
ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including performing heavy manual work such as lifting, carrying and/or pushing/pulling heavy objects up to 100 lbs on a daily basis as well as performing very heavy work in excess of 100 lbs on an occasional basis;
general knowledge of recognized practices, safe work habits and techniques, including traffic laws and defensive driving principles;
some clerical ability required, including computer skills/aptitude;
ability to deal courteously with staff, 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 and the general public;
familiarity with the occupational health & safety act, its regulations and other health and safety related legislation and standards.

the faculty of education invites applications for a tenure-track position in online learning, with a preferred starting date of august 1, 2015.
responsibilities will include assisting with the continued development of the fully online med program, teaching in undergraduate and graduate programs, supervision of graduate 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 in the candidate?s area(s) of expertise, and development and furthering a productive research program.
the successful candidate will have a completed or near complete phd and a record of scholarship in online learning, particularly in instructional design and implementation. university teaching experience in online environments is strongly preferred. research in digital literacies, teaching and learning 2.0, or education gamification would be an asset.
