reporting to the director, research services, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of edi best practices in the research enterprise as set out in the 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 canada research chairs edi action plan and 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 edi action plan (2019-2024: goal 3). duties include, but are not limited to:

 

● supporting the integration of edi best practice requirements into crc recruitment   processes in order to meet program equity targets, and assessing, including the development and implementation of edi-related crc guidelines to meet crc recruitment requirements;

● supporting crc recruitment committees in their efforts to reach and attract diverse candidate pools;

● advising researchers on developing and incorporating edi strategies into their research proposals (ie., team composition, research design, sgba+ considerations, recruitment processes, community-engagement, etc.), ensuring federal and provincial policies and sponsor guidelines (e.g., canada research chairs program (crcp), tri-agencies (nserc, sshrc, cihr, new frontiers in research, etc) are followed;

● assisting with preparation of institutional reports;

● facilitating edi training programs for crc recruitment committees, faculty researchers and postdoctoral fellows (ie., edi in research leadership certificate program);

● supporting the implementation of other edi initiatives in the research enterprise; and

● promoting a culture of equity, diversity, inclusion and decolonization within the research enterprise. 

 

this is a highly collaborative position, calling for a high degree of inter-departmental and external communications expertise to achieve university objectives, as you will be expected to:

duties include:
