based on current research and best practices in teaching and learning mathematics, mathematics, primary and junior education, part i develops the professional and pedagogical knowledge of teachers in primary and junior classrooms. provides a deepening understanding of a conceptual framework for teaching mathematics. the focus is on pedagogical knowledge and instructional strategies for teaching math within the context of the current ontario curriculum and policy documents.
