fintech can refer to many of the technologies that are currently disrupting banking, investing, fundraising, insurance and many other activities in the finance sector.<\/p>\n

this event will present a few ways in which technology is changing the field, and cast light on future developments and challenges.<\/p>\n

6:00 pm – 7:00 pm: registration and networking
\n7:00 pm – 8:00 pm: guest speakers to present their specialized talk.
\n8:00 pm – 9:00 pm: round table discussion, question and answer period using a moderator\/panel format<\/p>\n

seyon is a financial engineering graduate from the university of toronto. he is the cto and co-founder of viviplan, an automated financial and investment advisor platform that aims to deliver affordable, high-quality and trustworthy financial planning to canadians.<\/p>\n

jonathan tavone
\nsenior advisor
\nministry of economic development and growth<\/p>\n

jonathan is a senior advisor with the advanced technologies unit, in the ontario ministry of economic development and growth\/ research innovation and science. he has completed projects for the mars center for impact investing, israeli innovation authority, and the innovation policy lab at the university of toronto. jonathan received a master of global affairs from the munk school of global affairs, university of toronto and his undergraduate degree from york university.<\/p>\n

this event is open to community members and includes hot and cold appetizers.<\/p>\n
