established in the early 1990s, the centre for northern studies' press was created to advance the availability of quality academic research exploring a wide-range of issues relating to northern ontario, the provincial norths, the territorial norths, and the circumpolar world. new titles are approved by the centre for northern studies' publications committee after a rigorous process of peer-review.
