if you are contacted by a student due to health reasons or other personal crisis:

1. if it is not because of health reasons and a final exam, the instructor is responsible for managing it. ask for legitimate documentation and make arrangements with the student for a re-write (mid-term), an inc or an fnw.
2. if it is for health reasons and not being able to sit a final exam, the student must go through enrollment services.
