an examination of ecological, social and recreational issues in the management of tourism in natural areas. a central theme of the course is how to manage tourism in natural areas in a sustainable way while at the same time providing visitors with high quality experiences. special attention is given to theory, policy, planning, public involvement and understanding visitor behaviour and needs as key elements in this management approach. specific examples of the relationships between tourism and natural areas will be examined in local, regional, national and international contexts

focusing on the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to be a socially accountable physician in a northern and rural community, 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 begin to develop competence in several domains including communication, collaboration, health advocacy, leadership, reflection, and culture. they learn about the contexts for the practice of medicine in northern ontario, understand the importance of interprofessional care, and begin to understand the determinants of health with a particular focus on culture. they reflect on their understanding of the practice of medicine in northern ontario; develop an awareness and responsiveness to the changing needs of communities; and learn about ways to advocate for the health care needs of populations in northern ontario such as aboriginal and francophone peoples. as part of this course 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 undertake a four-week integrated community experience in an aboriginal community.

designed primarily for non-science majors, this course will explore contemporary chemical environmental problems, particularly those that have an impact on the north. these problems will include acid rain, ozone depletion, global warming, pesticides and heavy metal deposition. the origins and fates of pollutants will be discussed using specific examples from the forest products, mining, oil, energy, and transportation industries.
