making connections: a workshop bringing together the conversation on water and sustainability
situated by lake superior/gitchigami, our community is reminded daily that water is essential for the survival and productivity of all living things. water is an essential aspect of our lives biologically, socially, economically, culturally, and also spiritually. food production, energy production, access to clean and safe water, and peace and security are just a few ways water is critical to our survival.
“making connections” will provide a space for researchers, professionals and community members to come together to learn and share their involvement in local, regional, and global water issues related to sustainability.
participants will have three minutes to summarize their research or involvement in the area of water and sustainability. an informal gathering with refreshments will follow.
to further partnership and capacity building, an online, open-access catalogue of the research and projects presented will be created.
- refreshments will be available -
registration is required. rsvp to: coordinator.sustainability@lakeheadu.ca.
