the workshops are an expansion of available online resources and will highlight how to utilize and apply the resources as we work towards expanding our campus accessibility and achieving the objectives of the accessibility for ontarians with disabilities act (aoda).

thursday, feb. 21, 2013 - creating accessible power point presentations

this workshop will cover accessibility features within power point. interested educators and staff will explore the benefits and features of the accessibility checker during the creation of power point presentation. all workshops will be offered during the lunch hour. participants are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch. attendees are requested to register in advance for each session to: atech-sas@lakeheadu.ca

the lecture, a role for epigenetics in cardiovascular disease, will introduce the concept of chromatin-based mechanisms in cardiovascular disease, describe new concepts in gene expression, and provide a newer perspective for how a cell's environment interacts with the static dna code.
